Bodu Giri

Bodu Giri is a dive site located inside the atoll, close to the LUX resort. It's a stunning pinnacle and its topography and depth makes it an interesting dive site for all levels of divers.

Topography

The Giri features a shallow top with a long reef, surrounded by sand. One side has a wall, while the other gently slopes down. You will find abundant hard corals throughout the site.

MarineLife

Divers can encounter huge schools of snapper, batfish, and fusilier. Occasionally, sea turtles are seen, and the elusive leopard shark has also been spotted here, along with mantas passing through. Additionally, you may find stingrays and whitetip reef sharks in the sandy patch.

Depth

Bodu Giri has a shallow top reef at about 3 meters (10 feet), dropping down to 30 (98 feet) meters on the wall side. This makes it an interesting dive site for all levels of divers.

Visibility

Visibility can vary depending on conditions, but it sometimes exceeds 20 meters.
